In previous posts, we pretty much learned how we can nail the whole physically-healthy thing in a matter of a few genius tips—thank you very much. But now, we ask the real question: how do we stay mentally healthy amidst it all?

Being mentally healthy means rising to the challenge and functioning like you were made for the job you’re doing, getting up every day and facing the world head-on. Here are some tips to achieve the peak of personal health and boost your well-being:

  1. Connect with people.
  2. Stay true to yourself.
  3. Rise to whatever challenge may come your way.
  4. Strive to do better every single day.
  5. Forget the past and learn from your mistakes.
  6. Pray.
  7. Breathe deeply.
  8. Maintain a journal for all your thoughts—good and bad.
  9. Avoid things that trigger you.
  10. Purge negativity from yourself.
